Quarterback:

Dak Prescott: Prescott turns 33 in July and is coming off of a QB5 season. He hit 30 PaTDs for the 4th time in his career and finished with the 2nd most passing yards in his career with 4,552. We are assuming George Pickens returns on the franchise tag, which is obviously good for Dak. They’ve already extended Javonte Williams for 3 more years, so I like the continuity of this offense entering 2026. This is just a window of opportunity to cash in on that QB5 season and the hype of Javonte/Pickens/Lamb. I would like to think Dak plays well again in 2026, but it seems like it’s always something in Dallas that leads them to a never ending up and down year to year loop.

Baker Mayfield: Mayfield turns 31 in April and has plenty of good football years left in him, would be my pitch. He managed to finish as QB12 in 2025 despite all of the surrounding injuries to his supporting cast. His fantasy ppg dropped from 21.4 in to 2024 down to 15.8 in 2025. We’re not sure how much is left in the tank for Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. TE Cade Otton is also a free agent this year, but I have hopes of Tampa drawing in a FA TE like David Njoku. We have the promising WR Emeka Egbuka to possibly save the day, but I’m just wondering if it’s a good time to swap out Baker for another QB or picks.

CJ Stroud: Stroud missed 3 games in 2025 and finished as QB21, averaging 14.9ppg. He has not been able to come close to his rookie year numbers where he threw for 4,108 yards, 23TDs and ran in 3 scores. Offensively, Houston has struggled for the last two years and I’m not sure exactly where it all starts. They are not good running the ball and the offensive line is not quite good enough. We like the weapons at WR but I’ll touch on Nico Collins below too. I’m just thinking it’s a good idea to shop the idea of selling Stroud and at least seeing what the return may be. I would consider buying some slightly older players than him like Herbert, Purdy, Lawrence and possibly Darnold.

Running Back:

D’Andre Swift: It was a solid first year in the Ben Johnson offense for Swift, finishing as the RB14 in full ppr. He’ll be 27 years old entering the 2026 season and we have seen glimpses of Kyle Monangai playing well. Swift finished with a career low 34 receptions last year, a category we used to hang our hat on with him. He did run for 1,087 yards and 9 TDs, but I’m not sure those numbers will repeat in 2026. I’m thinking we see more Monangai and possibly more on Caleb’s plate this year.

Saquon Barkley: This is one is tough because he’s been such a dominant player and we may have missed the selling window last summer. He’s 29 years old now and the Eagles offense continues to be bi-polar. The offensive line has also regressed quite a bit from that 2024 Superbowl season. If you can find someone to take him, I would like to see what the return is.

Trey Benson: A promising young running back who was about to get the keys to the starting spot last year, until he suffered a meniscus injury in Week 4. I have no idea what the future holds for this Arizona franchise and have questions at QB and OL. James Conner could also return and play well enough to limit Benson yet again. See if someone else still believes.

Wide Receiver:

Nico Collins: This one hurts my feelings because I LOVE Nico. He finished as WR8 last season and missed 2 games. The missing games part is the main reason why I think it may be a good time to part ways. We touched on Stroud and the offensive woes, but it’s the concussions and knack for getting into big collisions that make me nervous. I also really liked what I saw from rookie WR Jayden Higgins and think he could be more involved in 2026.

AJ Brown: It was another 1,000 yard season for AJB and 7 TDs, but the inconsistency is still maddening. He got better down the stretch, but now he enters his age 29 season and could possibly be traded, which may or may not be a good thing. AJ Brown is a big name and could return a nice player or pick or two.

Rome Odunze: Odunze started off 2025 red hot but fell off quickly. From weeks 6-13, he was not really startable and then gets injured for Weeks 14-17. His playoff games were also very underwhelming. The emergence of Luther Burden and Colston Loveland are enough for me to question his ceiling and pecking order for targets.

Tight End:

Jake Ferguson: It was a career year for Jake Ferguson in the receptions and TD department. He’ll continue to be a reliable low end TE1, but regression is coming and he’s just not an elite level talent at the position.

TJ Hockenson: It was a rough QB year in Minnesota and that led to a down season for all Viking pass catchers. We could see one or two more strong season from Hockenson as he enteres his age 29 season, but I am more open to moving him for a pick if possible.

Mark Andrews: The 7.7ppg was the lowest for Andrews since his rookie season. The TDs weren’t there and the offense flowed through Zay Flowers. It appears that Isaiah Likely will be on a new team in 2026, but I’m just not sure Andrews has the juice left besides a random high TD season.
